When we considered travelling to Norway I wasn’t sure we needed to take a Fjord cruise. We’ve traveled along the coast of BC and seen beautiful scenery.
Am I glad we decided to go for it.

We left Bergen on the train and then took a bus past scenic lakes and villages and up to the mountains.

Our cruise was on one of Norway’s new electric boats which we boarded in Gudvangen. It was very quiet and for most of the time we were the only vessel on the water.
We silently drifted past small scenic villages.

And counted at least 50 waterfalls.!

Stunning beauty at every turn.

The cruise ended at Flam where we enjoyed a beverage in the shadow of the mountains.

We were taken down the mountain on the world famous Flam Railway, one of the steepest guage railways in the world.
